Could You?” asked David
“Why would I even consider that?” Replied the stranger.
“Please? Ill pay double” pleaded David.
They mumbled something and walked away mysteriously as a UFO.
The stranger was walking back to his apartment and just turned the corner.
“Hello Steph.”
The stranger, whose real name was Stephan, stopped at the sight of the same person whom he cheated out of money back in LA. He thought he wouldn’t be found here in Russia.
“hi again, Leroy. Long time no see”
Steph was a good liar, he could make you believe that there was a world war going on but with Leroy, he knew that he wouldn’t believe him. Steph had always been fairly good at what he did, but he had a natural knack at being in the wrong place at the wrong time or just plain unlucky.
“Its been a long time Steph”
“I know, it has”
Leroy was being watched by the cops due to his reputation in LA and had to go before they start asking questions.
“We have unfinished business” said Leroy scurrying along.
Steph got back to his apartment and was completely shellshocked about the encounter with Leeroy today and was having a rush of thoughts. What was he doing here in Russia? He told him he hated the very sight of this place. He must be here for business or to kill Steph. Steph knew he was probably going to have a lot to get through. Then he suddenly remembered his job with David. David is on his way there! ‘No!’ thought Steph. He ran outside, down the steps. Bang! He ran straight into Leeroy and his goons.
“Ouch!”
“Haha! Steph… Ive been waiting for this moment for years. You cheated me big time Steph. Now its time to pay. Me and my ‘co-workers here’ will show you a nice place. Good night.”
“No-“
Bam! Leeroy smacked Steph right in the jaw and he became unconscious.
“Uhhhhhh” moaned Steph. “where am I?”
Steph had nothing in his pockets except for a note saying:
Time to pay. You’ll be seeing me soon again. Your somewhere far away now. Prepare for the worst time of your life Steph. Think of this as one of those one-on-one cat and mouse games except for that you’re the mouse.
P.S your phone rang. Someone named David. He seemed pretty roughed up. Its not just me that’s hunting you now.
Steph looked up and there he was.
“David?”
To be continued…
